Deseti po redu The Game Awards noćas je na raskošnoj ceremoniji nagradio najbolje naslove u 2023. i otkrio čitav niz novih igara i trailera.
Najveći pobjednik je Baldur’s Gate 3, neprikosnoveno najbolji naslov 2023. godine, koji je tu titulu odnio u dvije najveće kategorije. Za ukupno najbolju po odabiru kritike i igrača, te najbolju igru godine po izboru isključivo igrača.
Od ukupno osam nominacija, Baldur’s Gate 3 pokupio je pet nagrada, uključujući i nagrade za najbolju glumačku izvedbu, najbolju multiplayer igru te najbolji RPG.

Sony bez ijedne nagrade
Alan Wake 2 također je imao osam nominacija, osvojio je tri nagrade, a Remedyju i Samu Lakeu osobito je drago bilo preuzeti kipić za najbolju direkciju i najbolju naraciju. Oba kipića odnio ispred Marvel’s Spider-Mana 2, koji je svakako najveći gubitnik ove godine s nijednom nagradom u sedam nominiranih kategorija. Tako je Sony ostao bez ijedne nagrade, a ako ćemo krenuti u smjeru fanboyskih prepucavanja, Microsoft je ove godine bolji s pobjede za Forzu Motorsport i Hi-Fi Rush.
Pomalo iznenađujuće, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom osvojio je samo jednu nagradu, za najbolju akcijsku avanturu, a Mario Bros Wonder je najbolja obiteljska igra, stoga je Nintendo od ukupno 15 nominacija ostao na dvije nagrade.
