Zanimljiv izbor, moramo priznati.
Akademija je jučer odlučila obznaniti svoje nominacije za 91. dodjelu nagrada Oscar koja će se održati 24. veljače, a ujedno i zatvoriti sezonu velikih filmskih nagrada. Sama lista izazvala je kao i svake godine mnogo kontroverzi, ali ove je godine to možda i nešto naglašenije nego posljednjih nekoliko.
Kntroverze
Listu tako predvode Cuaronova „Roma“ i Lanthimosov „The Favourite“ s po deset nominacija, a isti su nominirani i u kategoriji najboljeg režisera u koju su se još ušuljali Pawel Pawlikowski (Cold War), Spike Lee (BlacKkKlansman) i Adam McKay (Vice). Zanimljivo je da su čak dva režisera u ovoj kategoriji režirali filmove koji nisu na engleskom jeziku, a uzmemo li i činjenicu da je Lanthimos Grk, očito je kako je ova godina u znaku internacionalnih režisera. U ovoj je kategoriji iznenadio izostanak Barryja Jenkinsa, a posebno Bradleyja Coopera koji je uspio osigurati nominacije sebi za najbolju mušku ulogu, najbolji adaptirani scenarij, najbolji film i Lady Gagi nominaciju za najbolju žensku ulogu, ali je i dalje ostao bez nominacije za režiju.
Lista nominiranih za najbolji film možda je izazvala i najviše kontroverzi, ponajviše zbog uključivanja „Black Panthera“ i „Bohemian Rhapsodyja“, a izostavljanja „If Baele Street Could Talk“ unatoč mogućnosti nominiranja deset filmova (nominirano je svega osam filmova).
