Rockstar je potvrdio izostanak niza pjesama iz originalnih playlista GTA 3, Vice City i San Andreasa. Sve one pjesme koje su prije nekoliko godina nedostajale u rezidanju za mobitele nisu uključene ni u Definitive Edition remastere, a pridružit će im se i čitav niz drugih.
GTA 3 nema nijednu srezanu pjesmu, ponajviše zahvaljujući tome što se u njemu Rockstar uvelike oslanjao na originalnu produkciju, dok su iz San Andreasa i Vice Cityja ukupno izbačene 33 pjesme.
Vožnja Grove Streetom bit će neobična bez gangsta rap taktova 2PAC-a ili funka Jamesa Browna, a u Vice Cityju nekako se najviše nameće izostanak pop ikone Michale Jakcsona i legendarnih numera poput The Smurfa. Međutim, mnoge će oduševiti ostanak Lynyrd Skynyrda, The Bugglesa, Depeche Modea, Judas Priesta…
