S obzirom na dosadašnje glasine i (moguće) činjenice o novoj konzoli o kojoj Nintendo i dalje krije detalje kao zmija noge, ovakva vijest ne iznenađuje previše.
Prema Wall Street Journalu, Nintendo NX će biti kompatibilan sa igrama koje Nintendo izdaje za smartfonove. Zasad su izdali jednu igru, Miitomo, dok uskoro slijede igre Fire Emblem i Animal Crossing.
Glasnogovornici Nintenda su odbili komentirati tu vijest tako da zasad nije službena.
